Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has confirmed that Angel di Maria is unavailable for Sunday’s Premier League clash against Liverpool.
The Argentina international has missed the last two league matches due to a hamstring injury and is now set to sit out the encounter against the Reds at Old Trafford.
There have been reports that Di Maria has returned to training, but Van Gaal has written off the winger’s chances of playing a role against Liverpool.
Meanwhile, Van Gaal has stated that defender Chris Smalling is sidelined for two weeks.
The boss adds that Chris Smalling is out for only two weeks. See #MUTV's full interview in The Manager's Press Conference show (16:30 GMT).
