Gylfi Sigurdsson has outlined the similarities between his Swansea City teammate Wilfried Bony and Tottenham Hotspur youngster Harry Kane.
Both Bony and Kane are strikers and have been in impressive form in recent weeks in the Premier League.
While 26-year-old Ivory Coast international striker Bony scored seven goals and created 17 chances in 15 Premier League appearances, Kane has scored twice and created six chances in 11 league matches.
Although the stats are firmly in the Swansea striker’s favour, one needs to consider that Kane has only just started to get some decent playing time and is still 21 years of age.
Sigurdsson, who joined Swansea from Tottenham in the summer transfer window, has underlined the similarities between the two strikers.
“They are similar in the sense that they are players who can score goals from nothing," Sky Sports quotes the Iceland international as saying. ”They have a wonderful finish.
“Bony is probably physically stronger than Kane but I think Harry Kane comes a little bit deeper to pick up the ball some times.
“He is very direct, strong in the air, a strong lad and has been doing very well for Spurs from the beginning of the season and I am sure he will have a good career.
"Bony has been doing it for a few years now in the Premier League and his record is second to none.”
Bony and Kane will line up against each other when Swansea host Tottenham at the Liberty Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.
It will be interesting to see who has the better game.
