This summer Chelsea moved to bring back club legend Didier Drogba after his contract with Galatasaray came to an end.
The signing was welcomed by the majority of Chelsea fans, not only pleased to see their man back at Stamford Bridge, but genuinely believing he could come good at the club.
Because he was still performing for Galatasaray in the advent of his career.
This season they have struggled without him, particularly in the Champions League. They finished bottom of their group containing Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal and Anderlecht - going out with a whimper, especially in the games with Arsenal.
Last term however they shocked everyone by defeating Juventus in a crazy snow affected game in Istanbul.
Drogba's flick on set up Wesley Sneijder to score the winner and Gala joined group winners Real Madrid in the next round, on a pitch resembling a pig sty.
And yesterday the Chelsea striker posted a reminder to everyone on his Instagram of this famous Champions League drama on the anniversary of the victory.
Galatasaray fans probably wish they had him now.
