A weaker attack but why Leeds should be confident of beating Fulham

Leeds United should be confident of a win against Fulham in the Championship this weekend.

Leeds United manager Neil Redfearn will be hoping for a comprehensive performance when his side host Fulham this weekend.

There’s not too much between these teams in terms of the Championship table and they both go into the match after heavy defeats with Leeds losing 4-1 at Ipswich and Kit Symons watching his side concede five against Watford.

Fulham 30 39 310 6,727 61 20
Leeds 24 30 312 6,636 49 20

One of the most noticeable differences falls in attack and defence.

Fulham have scored more goals than Leeds this season but they have conceded many more, which will give Redfearn hope that his team can get on top if they mount some early pressure at Elland Road.

There’s not too much between the teams in terms of the number of tackles being made and the passing accuracy of each team, which suggests that it will be a match which comes down to the individual battles breaking out all over the pitch.

One area where Fulham could potentially hurt Leeds is out wide though the difference in terms of crosses shouldn’t be a major surprise considering Leeds play predominantly with a narrower formation.
