Two goals, two assists, eight key passes; Spurs target 'perfect' in Europa League

Tottenham target Kevin Kampl was simply outstanding for Red Bull Salzburg against Astra Giurgiu.

Tonight's Europa League games marked the end of the group stage, and Red Bull Salzburg swept Astra Giurgiu aside in a 5-1 thrashing.

The Austrian giants dropped just two points in the Europa League group stage, going through top of Group D with 16 points from six games.

Tonight, their win over Astra Giurgiu once again showed that they shouldn't be taken lightly, with Slovenian winger Kevin Kampl once again playing a starring role.

Kampl, 24, is Red Bull's star player given the sale of Sadio Mane to Southampton, and his great performances have even triggered interest from the Saints in a bid to reunite him with Mane.

Yet Tottenham are allegedly leading the race for his signature, with a £5m January bid possibly in the pipeline as we draw closer to the transfer window.

Kampl did his chances of a move away no harm tonight, turning in a sensational display that warranted a 10/10 grade from WhoScored, who deemed his performance as perfect.

Kampl not only scored twice, but also contributed two assists, with one being a superb backheel to set up Marcel Sabitzer from close range.

Additionally, Kampl had a stunning eight key passes in the game, creating a number of chances for his team mates in a simply unstoppable performance.

Kampl's stock is rising by the week, and Tottenham may need to move quickly to secure his signature after a this remarkable display.
