The agent of former Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic has been speaking following claims the defender could return to Old Trafford in January.
The Serbian moved to Inter Milan in the summer but he has not had the best start to life in Serie A with his performances coming in for criticism. With that in mind, and with United in desperate need of an experienced centre-back, the rumour mill decided the 33-year-old was on his way back to England.
“Vidic has a three-year contract with Inter and does not move from Milan. It is almost useless to comment on some of the nonsense that is spread out and I do not see any reason to move him from Inter.”
So that appears to categorically rule out a return to United, which makes sense when you consider the club were not willing to extend his contract prior to his departure.
With that being the case why would they suddenly want him back, especially when United have been linked with the likes of Mats Hummels and Miranda who would continue the new-look United their manager Louis van Gaal is attempting to build.
