QPR latest: Jamie Carragher's advice for survival

The latest Queens Park Rangers news, views and rumours. This time it's a Carragher special.

Jamie Carragher has been discussing what QPR need to do in their battle against relegation from the Premier League this season.

And, unsurprisingly, the former defender feels the west London side need to focus on their form away from Loftus Road.

Carragher's advice, of course, seems rather obvious - but QPR are still yet to solve the puzzle...

"You want to pick up points away from home and at the moment they have not picked up a single point away from home, which is something that will have to change. But their home form is brilliant at the moment," the 36-year-old wrote in his regular Sky Sports column.

"I said a few weeks ago that they have to make Loftus Road a fortress and that is exactly what they have done. It is now becoming a place where teams do not want to visit – it is a very difficult place to go.

"But now and again they will have to pick up a point on the road between now and the end of the season, because if you do not pick up anything, it puts so much pressure on your home form."

Earlier, boss Harry Redknapp also spoke of the need for QPR to up their game away from home. Everton away are up next for the R's on Monday night.
