We rate the players from Manchester City's 2-0 win over Roma in the Champions League last night.
Joe Hart - 8
Manchester City's attacking prowess may take the plaudits, but the crucial victory would not have been possible without Hart. The goalkeeper was in fine form, making numerous saves throughout the contest.
Pablo Zabaleta - 8
A typically robust performance from the right-back. It was fitting that he should score the goal which confirmed their qualification, given the heart and desire he always plays with.
Martin Demichelis - 7
A commanding performance from the defender who seems to have won over his critics with his showings more recently.
Eliaquim Mangala - 8
A good display from the centre-back who has been under heavy pressure after a series of mediocre display since signing for City in the summer. Has looked more comfortable in Europe than in the Premier League to date.
Gael Clichy - 6
A steady performance from the left-back, who did very little wrong throughout the match.
Jesus Navas - 6
The Spaniard has pace to burn, but his end product is sometimes lacking. Didn't have too much impact last night.
Fernandinho - 7
Combative, energetic and eye-catching, this was the Fernandinho City fans saw last season. A much improved display compared to some of his showings so far this campaign.
Fernando - 7
The Brazilian, similarly to Fernandinho, was very strong in the centre of the pitch. Enabled City to win the midfield battle.
James Milner - 8
Always reliable on the big occasion, Milner was in fine form again last night. The England international is an undervalued player by many, but he seems to be a key part of this City squad at the moment.
Samir Nasri - 8
His belting goal set City on their way and the Frenchman was a constant threat all night. An impressive showing.
Edin Dzeko - 7
Dzeko is nowhere near as much of a danger as Sergio Aguero, but his performance last night was still a good one. Held the ball up and brought others into play masterfully.
