The Manchester City squad were unanimous in their delight after they sealed their progress to the knockout stages of the Champions League last night.
City's chances of qualifying had looked bleak after a dreadful start to the competition, but a win over Bayern Munich in their penultimate group stage match meant that they had to beat Roma to quality.
It looked a tough test in Italy, but Manuel Pellegrini's men passed it with flying colours - winning the match 2-0.
Goals from Samir Nasri and Pablo Zabaleta secured the vital three points, which elevated them to second place in their group, and they will now be looking forward to playing European football in 2015.
City's success was made even more impressive given that they had to achieve the result without Sergio Aguero.
The Argentine striker, who has been in blistering form this season, was ruled out of the game through injury, but he was impressed with what he saw from his teammates while sitting in the stands.
Looking the match from outside is nerve wrecking. it´s a great joy seeing the work made by the team that always kept fighting till the end!— Sergio Kun Aguero (@aguerosergiokun) December 10, 2014
The City men who played a part in the match were similarly pleased by the result, which lifted some of the pressure that was building on them.
Given the funds that City have at their disposal their performances in the Champions League have been poor in recent seasons, but they will be looking to show their quality on Europe's biggest stage this time around now they are in the knockout rounds of the competition.
Here is the best reaction from the rest of the City squad on Twitter.
