Iago Falque says he is enjoying stability at Genoa.

Former Tottenham prospect Iago Falque says he is benefiting from feeling settled at new club Genoa.

The Spaniard spent three seasons at Spurs, one of which was on loan, before spells out at Southampton and at Almeria, Rayo Vallecano in La Liga.

In between he impressed for the under-21 side, but struggled for game time in the Premier League, and it was no surprise he was allowed to move on in the summer.

He signed for Italian side Genoa for around £3 million, and has made nine appearances in Serie A, scoring one and providing one assist.

Speaking to newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, he said: "In Genoa, I found confidence and stability. I hope to stay here for a long time."

"I have the confidence of the coach and I remain on the field throughout the game. For me, things have changed."

At 24, it's about time Falque found the stability he needed, having spent time with Barcelona, Villareal and Juventus before joining Tottenham.

Those who saw him in the under-21s at Spurs know how talented he is, it's simply a case of whether he can take it to the next level, and having found a club where he can play regularly, he is finally getting the opportunity he wanted.
