A round up of news stories this morning about Chelsea.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has revealed that German star Andre Schurrle is part of his plans at the club.
Schurrle has been used inconsistently by Mourinho since the World Cup, which has led to speculation over his future.
“He is in my plans. We had a problem when he went to the national team the last time and he came back very, very ill and was in trouble for quite a long time,” said the boss.
Mourinho has revealed that his preference in the draw for the last 16 of the Champions League is PSG.
The Blues played, and defeated, the Paris based side in the knock out rounds of the tournament last season.
“The draw is the draw. We have five possible opponents. I think Paris would be good because it is easy to travel for us and the fans. But we can't decide,” said Mourinho.
Mourinho has also revealed his belief that Ruben Loftus-Cheek can be a big player for the Premier League leaders.
RLC made his debut for the club last night as the Blues defeated Sporting Lisbon 3-1.
“He (Loftus-Creek) is very confident and has a good personality. He is not afraid to take responsibility on the pitch,” Mourinho told Sky Sports.
