Leeds United's under-21 side fought back from a goal down to beat Leicester in the under-21 Premier League Cup.
Leeds United’s under-21 side continued their progression in the Premier League Cup last night with a well fought 2-0 win against Leicester.
Leicester, playing at a higher standard to the Leeds under-21s in the Premier League, struggled to cope with the pace and dynamism of their opponents in the second half, with Leeds eventually edging the game 2-1 to progress in the competition.
Leeds won’t be pleased that it took going behind in the game for them to buck up their ideas and start playing the sort of football they’re used to but it’s all about getting over the line in a knock out game.
Luke Parkin was the star of the show with a brace, which turned out to be the difference between the two sides.
His first showcased a great bit of skill to slide in and finish and his second was a tap in after a great piece of work from Chris Dawson and a little bit of luck, which saw a mis-kick present Parkin with his chance to score the winner.
Watch from just before 1:27 and from 1:46 for both goals.
