Talented England under-16 international might be the next name off the talent line at Southampton.
The Southampton youth academy has been like a conveyor belt of talent in recent years. Adam Lallana joined Liverpool this summer. Luke Shaw became the most expensive teenager in the world with a move to Manchester United. Gareth Bale, via Tottenham, has become a global star at Real Madrid.
But it is perhaps Arsenal who have benefited the most from Southampton's excellent youth system.
In the summer they were again linked with a Saints talent. This time it was for the signature of midfield talent Callum Slattery.
The talent, who does not turn 16 until February, was reported to be considering his long-term future ahead of being offered his first pro deal at the club in the New Year.
The Mirror reported that the midfielder, who captained England's under-16s in November, could follow 'in the footsteps of Gareth Bale and Theo Walcott'.
Last night he certainly showed off some of that potential.
Southampton took on West Ham in the FA Youth Cup last night, winning the game 2-1 and advancing in the competition.
And Slattery hit this screamer to send them on their way...
No wonder Arsenal are keen.
