Teenagers Harry Winks and Josh Onomah to play for Tottenham on Thursday - report

Harry Winks and Josh Onomah will reportedly take the place of more experienced Tottenham Hotspur players against Besiktas.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly preparing to use Harry Winks and Josh Onomah in the Europa League this week.

Spurs face Turkish side Besiktas on Thursday and the London Evening Standard claims 18-year-old Winks and 17-year-old Onomah are set to be given a chance in the club’s first-team with both sides safely through to the knock-out stages.

Tottenham are currently top of Group C with 11 points and the report claims Pochettinno is preparing to rest a number of his regular starters in favour of some of the club’s younger players.

Winks is a central midfielder who made his senior debut for Tottenham earlier this season against Partizan Belgrade while Onomah is an attacking midfielder yet to make his senior bow.

Most recently the latter scored one of the goals in Spurs’ FA Youth Cup victory against Blackburn Rovers, when teammate Ismail Azzaoui stole the headlines with a hat-trick.
