The Hoops midfielder was speaking to the press ahead of tomorrow night's clash with Dinamo Zagreb.
Usually, when professional footballers are asked who they want to draw in the next round of a competition, they wheel out the standard cliches.
'We want a good game.' 'The better the team, the better it will be for the fans.' 'We don't care who we get, every game is a difficult one.'
The Celtic midfielder does, however, admit playing 'weaker' opponents will mean greater chance of success - but he is relishing the challenge of facing Europe's toughest nevertheless.
"All of us want to get as far as possible so it might be easier to play against weaker opponents. But from now on we are in the knockout stages and it’s going to be good games that we will enjoy," the 23-year-old told reporters.
"It will be like a cup tie and we will just need to win and go through. We just want to play at Celtic Park in front of all our fans.”
