Norwegian star Martin Odegaard is set to spend time in January training with Ajax, arguably the club with the best chance of preventing him moving to the Premier League.
The Stromsgodset teenager has been linked with all of the Premier League big boys; Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, with Liverpool having already shown him around Anfield and their Melwood training base.
It’s also well known that he’s a Liverpool fan but Ajax’s track record of working with and developing younger players is likely to sway any decision in their favour when Odegaard decides which European giant he’ll join.
Ajax are well connected with former players who work closely with younger stars to develop them to a point where they become more valuable commodities to the club and priceless squad options for Frank de Boer.
Odegaard is still a very young man, just 15-years-old, so the chance to develop, progress and ultimately become a stronger player through playing a higher ratio of first team games makes Ajax an extremely tempting proposition.
