Queens Park Rangers players and manager Harry Redknapp have performed a cover of Slade's Christmas hit on the club's website.

Queens Park Rangers have tried to deflect attention from their Christmas party, which allegedly ended in a brawl, by releasing a cringe-worthy video of the squad covering Slade's 'Merry Xmas Everybody'.

Sporting their cheesiest Christmas jumpers, players including Charlie Austin, Bobby Zamora, Leroy Fer, Rio Ferdinand, Joey Barton and Nedum Onuoha lip-sync along to the song.

There are even cameos from coach Glenn Hoddle, who is no stranger to pop fame having released 'Diamond Lights' with Chris Waddle back in 1987, and manager Harry Redknapp.

QPR fans will have to hope that the R's timing on the pitch is better than their timing in the video, although Rio Ferdinand puts in a creditable performance and Hoddle gives a glimpse of his past pop career before Redknapp provides a typically no-nonsense conclusion.
