Kieran Tierney only made his senior bow for Celtic during a pre-season friendly with Tottenham Hotspur over the summer, but he may be about to make his mark in continental competition.
The teenage defender has been included in Ronny Deila’s squad for a Europa League clash with Dinamo Zagreb on Thursday, along with another highly-rated youngster in the form of Darnell Fisher.
Tierney flew out of Glasgow on Wednesday as the Scottish Premiership champions prepare to bring the curtain down on their Group D campaign.
Celtic are already guaranteed of a place in the last-32, so it could be that the academy graduate gets the opportunity to line up alongside the likes of Kris Commons, Virgil van Dijk and Craig Gordon in the Croatian capital.
He has already made quite a name for himself this season, with a spectacular long-range effort during a development squad game against Hearts in October seeing him become a YouTube sensation.
