A selection of the latest stories involving Tottenham Hotspur this Wednesday evening.

Tottenham are interested in a £3 million move for defender Sime Vrsaljko, TalkSport reports - citing reports from Italy.

The Sassuolo defender is also attracting interest from Serie A champions Juventus according to the report, with the 22-year-old Croatia international possibly available for a move in the January transfer window.

Head Coach Mauricio Pochettino has bemoaned the busy schedule his side currently has according to London24, saying that the lack of time on the training ground means that isn't playing exactly how he'd like them to just yet.

He's quoted, saying: “I think sometimes it’s good to play three games each week but it’s difficult to coach the team and maybe that’s why we need more time to put our style into practice.

“This [pressing and energy] is what we try to set on the team, and it’s never easy. We need to change it at the beginning in the training sessions. You need to train in a high tempo, to run like we run on the pitch in the matches.

“But it’s not only a transformation in your body and your physical condition, it’s also in your mind. This is why we need time to improve and time to set our style.”

Spurs conclude the group stages of the Europa League tomorrow night, needing only a draw in Turkey against Besiktas to ensure they top their group.

Midfielder Benjamin Stambouli is relishing the challenge, telling the club's website: “We have the possibility to show what Tottenham are able to do, but we know we have to be solid.

“It’s always a pleasure to play in these games and we are looking forward to playing away to Besiktas.”

Emmanuel Adebayor has been given time off for personal reasons, with the club saying it won't make any further comment on the issue.
