Battlefield 4 developer DICE has taken to the Battlelog to let players know that additional content for the game isn’t to end with the fifth expansion, Final Stand
“With Battlefield 4 Final Stand released, we hope and believe that you will enjoy it together with the rest of the game for a long time,” state DICE “However, there is one thing we want to assure you: there is more content coming forBattlefield 4.
“We will share details on exactly what this new content will be, and when it will arrive, in the near future. We understand that this may lead to even more questions about our plans, but rest assured that we’ll get back to you on the future of Battlefield 4 when the team is right.”
The developer has also started a poll to ask fans what remade Battlefield maps they’d like to see making a return. A selection of maps from previous Battlefield titles can be voted on, these include Battlefield Vietnam, Battlefield 1942, Battlefield 2, Battlefield 2142, bad Company, Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3.
The next entry in the Battlefield franchise, Hardline takes a detour from the franchise’s military based action, focusing on cops and robbers style multiplayer gameplay. DICE has said the franchise will return to it’s army-based antics following Hardline, but that this won’t be happening until 2016.
Battlefield Hardline will launch next year for PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 on 17th March in North America and 19th March in Europe.
