A round up of news stories this morning about Chelsea.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho confirmed key trio John Terry, Willian and Eden Hazard are all on holidays.

The Blues host Sporting Lisbon this evening with their qualification for the last 16 of the Champions League already secure.

“Terry, Willian and Hazard are on holidays. I would like to give the whole squad the time off but these three play all the time,” said Mourinho.

The boss has also confirmed that he is determined to make the most of the academy players at the club.

Several youngsters are expected to get run outs this evening in the absence of their senior colleagues.

“If you don't bring kids through the academy, the best thing is to close the academy,” added the boss.

Reports suggest that Inter Milan star Mauro Icardi has reacted positively to interest in him from Chelsea.

The Blues have been linked with a move for the Inter star and are considered favourites to land him ahead of the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool.
