Hector Bellerin reveals how it felt to play left-back for Arsenal in the Champions League.

Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin has been speaking following the Gunners’ 4-1 Champions League victory against Galatasaray.

The win was not enough for Arsene Wenger’s side to secure top spot but they can still take plenty of confidence from the match, which saw braces for both Lukas Podolski and Aaron Ramsey.

Bellerin is naturally a right-back but against the Turkish side he played on the left with returning Frenchman Mathieu Debuchy on the opposite flank; and now the 19-year-old has been speaking about the experience.

In an interview with Arsenal’s official website the Spaniard said, “It’s a different position to where I usually play but last year, when I was at Watford on loan, I had a few games there so it wasn’t unfamiliar.

“It is difficult to get used to in this kind of game especially. But I felt comfortable and I was happy with my performance.”

Bellerin started the first and the last matches in Arsenal’s Champions League group this season and it will be interesting to see how many more matches he features in once the knock-out stages begin.
