Antonio Valencia: Manchester United teammate Anderson’s humour is ‘infectious'

Antonio Valencia says that Manchester United teammate Anderson makes him laugh a lot.

Manchester United winger Antonio Valencia has revealed that Anderson is the funniest player at the club.

“Anderson is always laughing and trains with a smile on his face,” Valencia told United’s official website when asked which player makes him laugh the most in training. “His humour is infectious.”

Perhaps this is the reason why Anderson is still at United.

The 26-year-old midfielder joined the Manchester outfit from Portuguese giants FC Porto in the summer of 2007.

Anderson arrived in English football with a big reputation and was expected to blossom into a world-class footballer.

However, the Brazil international has been largely a ‘flop’ at United so far and is now simply a squad player.

Many United fans would have expected Anderson to be sold in the summer transfer window, but the midfielder remains in Louis van Gaal’s squad.

Perhaps it is because he is so funny that Van Gaal has decided to retain Anderson’s services.
