The 20-year-old striker is valued at around £12m, and has recently attracted interest from the likes of Liverpool and AC Milan in the past few months.
The latest team to be linked with a move to sign Mitrovic are Newcastle, with manager Alan Pardew seemingly hoping to land a traditional centre forward to play alongside Ayoze Perez.
The former Partizan striker has hit around one goal every other game for Anderlecht since signing for the Belgian giants last summer, but has drawn criticism for his weight and fitness problems this season.
Regardless, Newcastle sent scouts to watch Mitrovic in action against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday night, and will have been impressed after he scored a late equaliser for his team.
Looking deeper than just his textbook headed goal at the back post, Mitrovic was impressive in a number of areas throughout the game.

As we can see with the stats above, Mitrovic had four shots on goal and managed to get half of them on target, whilst he proved his target man status by winning a number of headers, including two on goal.
With a goal against Arsenal earlier in the competition, Mitrovic is making a name for himself in Europe, and Newcastle may see that £12m price tag rise in the coming weeks ahead of the January transfer market.
