Andy Carroll claims that West Ham United can launch a challenge for the Premier League title this season.

West Ham United striker Andy Carroll has suggested that his side can win the Premier League title this season.

Yes, win the Premier League title.

“I think there is no limit, we can go all the way to the top," FourFourTwo quotes the England international as saying.

"We have a great squad and I can't say we are going to give up, now we are in the top four. We have got a great team and we can go all the way.

"I think with the team we have got and the manager [Sam Allardyce], the way he is playing and coaching everyone, it is fantastic and I don't think we will be giving up at all."

West Ham have surprised many with their ‘newfound’ footballing style and are deservedly fourth in the Premier League table with 27 points from 15 matches.

But let’s not get carried away. Chelsea and Manchester City are the two top favourites, and one of them will win the Premier League.

As good as the Hammers have been, there can be no denial that the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool have all underperformed.

One would expect those teams to pick up pace as the season progresses. West Ham are in the hunt for a top-four finish, though, but that’s it.

No more title talks, please.
