Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode joins Borderlands: The pre-sequel this week

Xbox 360 will be getting free Pre-Sequel update first with PS3 and PC to follow.

Gearbox has revealed the free Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode will be rolling out for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel from this week.

Xbox 360 players will be getting the update first from 11th December. with those on PS3 and PC able to download it from 16th December. To get at the new mode players must have completed the main story missions in True Vault Hunter Mode and have reached level 50.

The following changes will be incoming with Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode:

  • Regular enemies will receive a 1.5x health multiplier and 1.5x shield multiplier
  • Badass enemies will receive a 2.5x health multiplier and 3.5x shield multiplier
  • Enemies are now more likely to drop ammo, plus enemies and chests will give you better gear than in other playthroughs
  • Elemental weapons will also be more effective, as will gear with elemental resistance

Gearbox has also previously announced that the Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel‘s next DLC pack, the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack: The Holodome Onslaught, will also release next week. North America will be getting this from 16th December and the rest of the world from 17th December. The Holodome Onslaught will bring a new challenge arena with new enemies, new weapons and customization options, new class mods and a higher level cap of 60.
