Ronald Koeman’s message to Southampton fans

Ronald Koeman insists that everyone at Southampton have complete faith in the team.

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has made it clear that the players and coaching staff are full of self-conviction.

The Saints were having a Christmas party today, and the Dutchman took to social networking site to send a special message to the club’s fans.

Koeman’s message is important considering that Southampton have lost three matches in a row in the Premier League.

Last weekend the Saints were hammered 3-0 at home by defending English champions Manchester City.

Then in midweek Southampton went down 1-0 to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, and on Monday Manchester United got the better of them 2-1 at St. Mary’s Stadium.

The defeats have pulled the Saints out of the top four and into fifth place in the Premier League table with 26 points from 15 matches, a point behind fourth-placed West Ham United.

Southampton have been flying high and there were suggestions that they could break into the top four, but failure to take even a point against better opposition has cast doubts on those lofty ambitions.

However, Koeman does not seem to have lost faith and is keen on assuring the fans that confidence remains high in the camp.
