Arsenal have brought Glen Kamara in from the under-21s to train with the first team squad.

Could Arsenal's solution in defensive midfield be sitting in their academy?

It may be a long shot, but Arsene Wenger is clearly growing intrigued as to the ability of 19-year-old Glen Kamara.

The teenager was invited to train with the first team in Monday's session before the team flew out to Istanbul to ace Galatasaray, and was part of the travelling party.

Kamara was born in Finland and has heritage of Sierra Leone, and is yet to appear for the first team.

He has made five under-21 appearances this season, and has scored once.

Fellow teenagers Aisland Maitland-Niles and Semi Ajayi are were also involved in training, but it is Kamara's position of defensive midfield, a problem role for the Gunners, which makes him of particular interest.

Kamara, pictured right with Joel Campbell, has four caps for Finland's under-21 side, and is described by Arsenal's website as a 'Versatile midfield enforcer'.

If he lives up to that sort of description, he could prove to be an invaluable player to the Gunners over the coming seasons, and this is his first major step in achieving his dream.
