Lukasz Fabianski will miss Swansea City v Tottenham Hotspur

Swansea City’s appeal against Lukasz Fabianski’s red card has been rejected, meaning that he will not be available for the Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.

Swansea City goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski will miss out on his side’s clash against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

The Poland international will be suspended for the Premier League encounter at the Liberty Stadium following his dismissal at the weekend.

Fabianski, who joined Swansea in the summer transfer window after being released by Arsenal, was sent off against West Ham United on Sunday.

The 29-year-old was dismissed in the 68th minute for a professional foul on Diafra Sakho, and although Swansea made an appeal, it was dismissed by the Football Association on Tuesday.

This means that Gerhard Tremmel is likely to play in goal for Swansea against Tottenham. The Swans are currently eighth in the league table with 22 points from 15 matches.
