Manchester United's Marouane Fellaini may have made quite a resurgence this season, but his performance last night has brought questions back about whether he is of the quality required to play for the Red Devils.
United may have beaten Southampton 2-1, but their victory was largely undeserved with their passing particularly inaccurate throughout the match.
Fellaini's display, in the heart of midfield, was amongst the worst of their players' performances, too, as he could not add any attacking intent to their play.

The Belgian was erratic with his distribution - completing just 84% of his passes - and he failed to win the physical battle in the middle of the park, leading to a lot of criticism of his performance.
Fellaini's poor pass set-up Southampton's goal, which was scored by Graziano Pelle, and he never recovered from this mistake.
In the end the former Everton man could consider himself fortunate to have played the whole match and he may find himself back on the substitutes' bench again in Louis van Gaal's side's next fixture.
In the scoreline, Fellaini's poor performance was compensated for, as Robin van Persie's two strikes bailed his teammate out, but United fans had not forgotten about his showing.
On social media site Twitter, the central-midfielder was slammed for his display and in this piece we bring you the best reaction.

Louis Van Gaal is going to blast Marouane Fellaini so hard at half-time, he's going to come out for the second-half with straight hair!!— The Betting Bar (@TheBettingBar) December 8, 2014
This is Fellaini 2013/14 vintage. And it's corked.— Matthew Stanger (@MatthewStanger) December 8, 2014
Not sure which is worse for #MUFC: The fact that Mata is invisible, or that Fellaini isn't.— Ian Watson (@IanWatson1) December 8, 2014
It was like Moyes was coaching Fellaini last night, passing was shocking @Radio_Gaz— Erin Hartogh (@Erin_Hartogh12) December 9, 2014
Fellaini has had a couple of games. He has tried. Bench is calling him back. Herrera and carrick to start next game please.— Jagaban (@badmankayy) December 9, 2014
And the fickle nature of football fans back again, Fellaini one bad game since West Brom and he's getting dogs abuse again - pathetic— MUFC Voice (@TheMUFCVoice) December 9, 2014
I'd play Blind ahead of Fellaini. Fellaini is too slow on the ball. he's main positive is his physicality— Mad Genius (@Isocarter) December 9, 2014
Fellaini never was and never will be united quality. His decision making when going forward is just abysmal #mufc— Hugo (@hughdinho) December 9, 2014
Fellaini was extremely poor last night in possession and isn't good enough to play as a holding midfielder against a high pressing team...— Roy Keane (@RoyFuckingKeane) December 9, 2014
