Chelsea morning news: Mourinho's Costa advice, Salah keen for exit

A round up of news stories about Chelsea this morning.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has called on striker Diego Costa to improve his fitness.

The Blues forward has been struggling with a hamstring problem for most of the current season.

“He has to improve his condition. He was injured and had many doubts because he went a long time without training. Obviously that must have an effect on a player in the way he runs, the way he moves,” said the boss.

Chelsea star Mo Salah is reportedly keen on a loan move away from the club.

The Egyptian wide man has struggled to break into Mourinho’s first team plans so far this season.

Inter Milan have been mentioned as a possible January destination.

Mourinho has also insisted that goalkeeper Petr Cech is still a vital part of his squad.

The goalkeeper has been linked with an exit from Stamford Bridge after the boss made Thibaut Courtois his number one at the start of the season.

“I have to feed that ambition to keep him… I’m not saying happy happy, because to be happy a player must play every game… but at least to make him feel that we like him, we respect him,” said Mourinho.
