Bhoys given time off
Key members of the Celtic squad have been given time off this week because of the club's good performance in the Europa League this season.
The Bhoys have already qualified from their group in Europe's secondary competition ahead of their final match, and Deila has rewarded the players who got them through by allowing them a break from training.
The likes of Scott Brown, Craig Gordon and Virgil van Dijk have all been allowed time to relax, with the fringe players set to take centre stage when Celtic take on Dinamo Zagreb on Thursday night.
Kennedy backs Deila
Celtic coach John Kennedy believes that Ronny Deila has won people around at Parkhead, after a shaky start.
The Norwegian struggled in his initial time at the club, but Kennedy says that he has got to grips with the magnitude of his task at the Scottish champions.
“He’s [Deila's] certainly settled in now," Kennedy told the Daily Record. "He’s the right type of character for this type of job and has all the players on board for where he wants to go. We’re beginning to see more and more of that."
Rangers want run
Ally McCoist is hoping to get Rangers back into title contention with a string of good results over the Christmas period.
The Light Blues have fallen a considerable distance behind current leaders Hearts, but McCoist wants them to start closing the gap in the coming weeks.
“We know we are capable of it and we certainly believe we can string a few results together and get a run going," McCoist said to the Express.
