Jimmy Del Ray

Former WWE star Jimmy Del Ray has died in Tampa, Florida.

Reports are coming out of the wrestling press that former WWE star Jimmy Del Ray, real name David Ferrier, has died.

Del Ray passed away on Saturday 06th December 2014 although reports of what caused his death have been varied. Some sources claim that Del Ray passed away following a Heart Attack while others are claiming that he passed away following a car accident. Whilst both may well be true it is with great sadness that we have to report his passing.

Jimmy Del Ray was best known as part of the Tag Team the Heavenly Bodies who were hugely prominent in the WWE between 1993 and 1995, winning the Smokey Mountain Wrestling Tag Team Championship at WWF Summerslam 1993. Following their stint in WWE (Then WWF) The Heavenly Bodies moved to ECW where they joined Raven's Nest. Jimmy Del Ray soon parted ways with his tag team partner Tom Pritchard and joined WCW in 1996, under the name Jimmy Graffiti. He eventually retired following a knee injury in 1997, going on to become a trainer for Steve Keirn's Floridian Profession Wrestling School.

Most recently Del Ray had been operating a hard wood flooring company in Tampa, Florida.

We at Here Is The City wish his family and friends our condolences in this difficult time.
