This is how Tomas Brolin looks nowadays.

A star of the 1994 World Cup, Tomas Brolin's days as a professional footballer are long behind him.

The Swede retired at the age of just 28, after his career veered off track having moved to the Premier League.

Brolin signed for Leeds United in 1995, but fell out with manager Howard Wilkinson and struggled with injury. Having paid £4.5 million for his signature, the fact they sent him on loan to FC Zurich a year later said everything about the disappointment regarding his contribution.

Brolin is now 45, and appeared in a charity game last week - and as you can see from the photo above - is looking worse for wear.

In comparison to the trim figure who lit up USA '94, Brolin is almost recognisable, although Crystal Palace fans may see a resemblance.

Brolin signed for the Eagles in 1998, but was criticised for being out of shape and overweight. Once his short term deal expired, he retired that summer.
