If you were Mauricio Pochettino and had to pick Tottenham Hotspur's best XI...
There has been plenty of analysis on Mauricio Pochettino's squad rotation at Tottenham so far this season.
The Argentine has had to balance a huge squad for regular games in three separate competitions. Occasional sparks from some and miserable form from others has made his job even harder in that respect.
So, if the Spurs boss was to pick his best starting XI right now, what would it be?
In goal, there is no dispute that Hugo Lloris takes his place, while Ben Davies, Jan Vertonghen and Federico Fazio have proven themselves as the north London side's best defenders at the moment. Kyle Walker easily makes the right-back slot but, assuming he remains injured, Eric Dier would make the side ahead of Kyle Naughton.
In midfield, meanwhile, the inconsistent Erik Lamela would have to miss out, while Mousa Dembele is out of form. Nabil Bentaleb would be unlucky to miss the cut but the likes of Ryan Mason, Christian Eriksen, Nacer Chadli and Aaron Lennon are playing better at the moment.
Finally, Tottenham would surely pair Roberto Soldado up front with Harry Kane. The Spaniard may be short on goals during his career in the capital but he is essential in any build-up play going forward for Pochettino's side.
