Arsenal defender Per Mertesacker has had a lot to say about his new teammates Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez, who have both made an impact since their arrivals at the Emirates Stadium.
The German said the side desperately needed players like Welbeck and Sanchez who are both tricky, quick and got an eye for goal, with Sanchez's performances noted in particular as he has time and again come up with crucial goals for the Gunners so far this season.
Mertesacker told the UEFA website: "Danny Welbeck is very fast and clinical, and we desperately needed that. We need his goals so we can win important matches.
"And the same applies to Alexis Sánchez, who has a great understanding of the game. He came from Barcelona and he's brought a lot to the team. He is very dangerous in front of goal. When new players arrive it takes some time for them to adapt and get used to the way Arsenal want to play. But we are happy to have both of these players."
It hasn't been the easiest start to the season for the Gunners who endured a 3-2 loss to Stoke City at the weekend, where their defending was questionable to say the least, and even the wizardry of Sanchez along with the threat Welbeck carries couldn't rescue a point for Arsene Wenger's side at the Britannia Stadium as they currently sit outside the Premier League's top four places, with some fans calling for a change of manager.
They have, however, secured their qualification for the knockout stages of the Champions League with a game to spare
So far this season Sanchez has scored 14 goals from 23 appearances in all competitions since his arrival from Barcelona for around £35 million, whilst Danny Welbeck has also made an impact since his £16 million arrival from Manchester United.
The 24-year-old has scored six goals since making the move to North London but will want to improve on his goals per game ratio having played 19 games so far this term.
