Hull manager Steve Bruce reacts to facing Arsenal in FA Cup again

Hull City manager Steve Bruce can't believe that his side have been drawn against Arsenal in the FA Cup again.

After a number of preliminary rounds and two proper rounds, the FA Cup has finally reached the third round stage - and the draw was made earlier today.

Whilst there were some interesting ties - AFC Wimbledon v Liverpool and Sunderland v Leeds United spring to mind - one that sticks out is Arsenal facing Hull yet again.

The Gunners met Steve Bruce's side in the final last year, and after Hull raced into a 2-0 lead, Arsenal roared back to win the game 3-2.

In the rehearsal for the draw, Arsenal were paired with Hull, and there was shock and surprise when they were the first two teams drawn out of the hat, meaning the two teams will face off yet again in January.

Tigers boss Bruce was stunned to see his side drawn to face Arsenal again, and told BBC that the draw was simply 'amazing'.

"As soon as we walked in everyone told us we were drawn against Arsenal in the rehearsal. For it to happen again is amazing," said Bruce.

Hull will be seeking revenge over the Gunners having thrown away their lead back in May, but Arsenal will surely be favourites to go through to the next round as they bid to retain their trophy.
