Aston Villa players took to Twitter to celebrate Sunday's 2-1 win over Leicester City.
Villa came into the game full of confidence after beating Crystal Palace 1-0 on Tuesday night, and faced a Leicester side in dire straits after a controversial week for under-fire boss Nigel Pearson.
Yet to the surprise of many, the Foxes took the lead early on, as Algerian winger Riyad Mahrez set off on a mazy run from the right flank, before his deflected shot was parried by Brad Guzan, and Leonardo Ulloa could hardly miss from close range.
Villa roared back just minutes later, with Ashley Westwood's free kick superbly guided home by Ciaran Clark, who placed his header just past the despairing dive of goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel.
The Dane kept Paul Lambert's side at bay for large spells of the second half, but was finally beaten when right back Alan Hutton controlled Christian Benteke's pass and smashed Villa into the lead with just 20 minutes to play.
Villa had chances to wrap the game up, but were virtually handed all three points when Leicester full back Paul Konchesky was sent off for an altercation with Hutton, and despite some late half-chances for the Foxes, Villa managed to hang on for the win, meaning they move up to 11th place in the Premier League table.
After the game, a number of Villa players took to social media to air their thoughts on the game, and you can read their views below – featuring Guzan, Clark, Benteke and Jores Okore.
