West Ham fans react on Twitter to Andy Carroll's display against Swansea

West Ham fans were full of praise for striker Andy Carroll after his performance against Swansea.

West Ham moved up to the dizzy heights of third place in the Premier League table after an impressive 3-1 win over Swansea City at Upton Park.

The victory over Garry Monk's side means that West Ham have now won three games in a row, bouncing back superbly from three successive games without a win.

It didn't go all West Ham's way though, as Wilfried Bony put Swansea in front with a well taken finish from Jefferson Montero's cut back.

From then on though, West Ham took control, and Andy Carroll leveled the game for West Ham with a superb looping header from Carl Jenkinson's deep cross.

Carroll then put West Ham in front when Swansea inexplicably left the gangly target man unmarked from a corner, before Lukasz Fabianski was harshly sent off for impeding Diafra Sakho on his way to goal.

Sakho did make it three in the end, latching onto Carroll's flick-on and smashing the ball beyond Gerhard Tremmel to wrap up the victory.

Alex Song was influential throughout, but most of the plaudits from West Ham fans went to striker Carroll, who racked up two goals and an assist in a superb display.

Swansea just couldn't handle the former Liverpool flop, with Carroll's aerial ability causing no end of problems in the Swans back four.

His impressive performance has led to calls for an England return, whilst one fan even labeled him 'unplayable' - as long as he can stay fit, which has been Carroll's biggest problem of late.
