A select round-up of the latest news relating to Manchester United…
Manchester United forward Angelo Henriquez scored yet again for loan club Dinamo Zagreb this weekend.
The Chilean forward scored in a 3-0 win against Rijeka, netting his ninth in the league and his 14th in all competitions.
While United have a number of strikers at their disposal Henriquez is proving he should be given a chance at Old Trafford, especially when you consider he is still only 20.
In other news, Guardian journalist Jamie Jackson has hinted that United midfielder Daley Blind may not be too far away from a return to first-team affairs.
The Holland international injured his knee on international duty and has been tipped to return over the festive period, but having seen the player last week, Jackson tweeted the following this weekend:
“Daley Blind appeared fit and not concerned by his knee after Stoke game so may not be too far away from a full recovery.”
That is speculation at this time, but given that United boss Louis van Gaal suggested it would be weeks rather than months before he played again, it could be a big injury boost at what will be a vital time for the club’s campaign.
