'Two months ago we would have lost this game,' Lloris takes the positives for Spurs

The Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper has had his say on the 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace.

Tottenham's 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace was a source of great frustration to fans.

It always seems to be a case of one step forward and two back for the north London side these days...

The positives, however, were there for Spurs (a clean sheet perhaps being the biggest one). Tottenham were again found wanting in the final third, of course, and some proper January recruitment is an absolute must for the club.

But, two months ago, Tottenham would have lost to Crystal Palace if the circumstances were similar. That's what goalkeeper Hugo Lloris believes is the best thing to come out of the 0-0 draw.

“It was a tough game and we expected that,” the Frenchman told Tottenham's official website.

“Crystal Palace were strong but we couldn’t find a solution, we didn’t create space and we were a bit slow with the ball.

“We felt that the game could turn quickly but in the end it’s a draw and we have to keep believing and keep working.

“If you want to be positive, maybe two months ago we would have lost this game. I think we are still improving and I’m sure we will do much better in the second half of the season.

“This month is important and we have to stick at the top end of the table. We need to believe and we know now the Swansea game is important for us.”

Tottenham travel to Swansea next Sunday.
