Leeds suffered a 4-1 pummeling at Ipswich yesterday. When will their away-day woes end?
Something has got to give at Leeds United.
The club's form at Elland Road is actually fairly impressive. Current boss Neil Redfearn, meanwhile, is unbeaten this season at Leeds' home ground.
Away from home, however, it is a different, much more miserable story for the Yorkshire side: they have won just once in 10 away games so far this campaign.
Yesterday afternoon, Leeds were outclassed by Ipswich Town at Portman Road - and it wasn't the first time this term they weren't at the races during an away match.
Elland Road form: P10 W5 D3 L2
Leeds away form: P10 W1 D2 L7
The problem with Leeds' season is clear. Their away form is seriously holding them back. But how to address it?
Change is needed - and Redfearn needs do develop a more street-wise plan B for games on his side's travels. Do Leeds, for instance, need to play two up top? Do they need Lewis Cook, Adryan and Alex Mowatt all on at once?
No matter whether Redfearn plays Giuseppe Bellusci, Jason Pearce or Liam Cooper, meanwhile, Leeds always end up conceding goals on the road.
It'll be back to the drawing board for the 49-year-old, who has so far relied on Leeds' home form to secure points. A Championship season cannot only be played at Elland Road, however. What changes need to be made?
2/2 ..think we need to sacrifice one of Cook or Adryan for away days and go with a bit more steel. Works at home, but not on the road! #LUFC
