PHOTOS: The best pictures as Chelsea lose unbeaten record at Newcastle

St James Park

The likes of Jak Alnwick, Papiss Cisse and Didier Drogba all feature.

Chelsea's unbeaten run in the Premier League dissipated yesterday as Newcastle United defeated them in the early afternoon kick-off at St James Park.

Chelsea dominated possession but could not find a way beyond the Newcastle goal. At half time Rob Elliott has to make way for Newcastle, with Jak Alnwick entering the fray, but even then they could not get past the 21-year-old debutant - who put in an excellent display.

The goals for Newcastle came from Papiss Cisse. First he benefited from a deflected cross which he tapped in at the far post before doing the same again, but easier, after Moussa Sissoko managed to squirm a square ball to the Senegalese striker to scored the second.

The introduction of Didier Drogba seemed to help. He scored and became the main outlet for the team. But Newcastle and Alnwick stood firm, Chelsea's unbeaten record is now gone.

Here are some of the best pictures from the game.
