Before Newcastle United took on Chelsea this weekend, and snatched away their unbeaten record in the Premier League, the two stood in the tunnel awaiting kick-off.
John Terry was his usual 50-yard stare self, the goalkeepers exchanged pleasantries while one Newcastle and one Chelsea player embraced each other with real passion.
So why did the pair look so pleased to see each other.
Well anyone who knows their recent La Liga history will know the pair are former team-mates at Deportivo La Coruna.
Coloccini was at the Riazor between 2004 and 2008 after several loan spells in Spain from AC Milan. He joined Newcastle in 2008 for a fee of £10.8 million.
Filipe Luis on the other hand was with Deportivo from 2006 until 2010, before heading to Atletico Madrid and joining Chelsea this summer for £15.8 million this summer.
The pair did not get to meet too much in the game, with Luis only coming on as a sub in the second half. But we imagine they had a proper catch-up after the final whistle, where the Newcastle man could have had a little bit of a brag at his old mates expense.
