Liverpool are desperately missing one of their goal-getters this season.
Liverpool once again struggled to score the goals their performance probably warranted yesterday as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Sunderland at Anfield.
This season the club have desperately missed top scorers from last term Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge. Suarez was sold to Barcelona for £75 million after yet another biting incident at the World Cup.
The absence of Daniel Sturridge has been far less fortunate.
He has suffered three consecutive thigh or hamstring injuries in the past few months, ruling him out of action for the majority of the campaign.
He watched the game yesterday, from Los Angeles, where he is undergoing specific rehabilitation work on the upper leg in order to prevent yet another setback for the England international. He sent this Instagram message yesterday after the game.
He certainly looks in good shape, while escaping the British winter will also be a fillip in going off to recover stateside.
Liverpool fans will however hope he is back soon so they can start banging in the goals again.
