Nottingham Forest manager Stuart Pearce has been singing the praises of Robert Tesche.
The midfielder came on as a half-time substitute against Charlton Athletic in Saturday’s Championship clash and scored the equaliser just before the hour mark.
The 27-year-old German has been struggling for playing time recently, but Pearce is full of praise for him and his goal at the City Ground.
“It was an unbelievable goal – a fantastic strike that would grace any game in this country today,” Forest’s official website quotes Pearce as saying.
“Robert’s done extremely well in training and he’s been disappointed to be left out recently. Henri’s just got in there before but we know Robert’s ready for it.”
Tesche joined Forest in the summer transfer window on a free and has made 14 appearances in the Championship so far this season, scoring two goals, creating 11 chances in the process and having a pass accuracy of 80%.
Forest are currently 10th in the Championship table with 29 points from 20 matches, just three points behind sixth-placed Watford.
