Liverpool morning news: Toure praises Reds duo; target’s December 18 deadline

Liverpool defender Kolo Toure has been speaking following the Reds’ 0-0 draw with Sunderland.

In comments published by the club’s official website, the Ivorian said it was all about ensuring a victory in their next match – a Champions League encounter with FC Basel.

“We just need to win the game,” he said. “There’s no choice; we have to attack and try to win the match.”

On the scoreless draw the Liverpool centre-back said, “I think as a team we defended very well. Simon (Mignolet) was great again as was Skrtel at the back.”

In other news, reported Liverpool target Neto has allegedly been given until December 18 to decide if his future lies at current club Fiorentina.

The 25-year-old goalkeeper’s current contract expires in the summer and he has been strongly linked with a move to Liverpool.

Now Italian website TMW reports that the Serie A side will offer the player one last chance to sign a new deal before accepting he is set for pastures new.
