Manchester United legend Gary Neville believes that Chelsea may have won the Premier League title this weekend despite their defeat to Newcastle United.
Jose Mourinho’s side suffered their first loss in the Premier League this season on Saturday when they went down 2-1 to the Magpies at St. James’ Park.
Second-placed and defending English champions Manchester City got the better of Everton 2-1 later in the day to reduce the gap between themselves and Chelsea to just three points.
However, star striker Sergio Aguero suffered an early injury at the Etihad Stadium and had to be substituted.
The Argentina international is now going to miss midweek’s Champions League clash against AS Roma, and there are reports that he could be out for a longer period of time.
Neville, a former United defender, claims that Aguero’s injury could have tilted the Premier League title race in Chelsea’s favour.

Meanwhile, Neville believes that United will finish third. The Red Devils have won their last four Premier League matches to spark suggestions of an unlikely title challenge, but the former England international thinks otherwise.
United are in Premier League action on Monday when they take on Southampton away from home.
