The Ivorian striker scored for Chelsea against Newcastle United yesterday, but still suffered defeat.
Chelsea's unbeaten start to the season came to an end yesterday as they suffered a defeat at Jose Mourinho bogey team Newcastle United. St James Park was rocking yesterday as a double from Papiss Cisse saw The Toon run out 2-1 winners.
This was despite some intense late pressure from Chelsea. After Steven Taylor was sent off for the home side, allied with the introduction of Didier Drogba, Chelsea looked much the stronger team.
Drogba scored what looked like the comeback goal and the extra option he gave the team was a real bonus. Chipped balls into him at the back post became the norm and in the end he and Chelsea were unlucky not to claim at least a point.
After the game, the usually vocal Chelsea players have remained quiet.
However Drogba has taken to Instagram and Twitter to assess the defeat and congratulate Newcastle United on their victory.
Once again, Drogba showing he is a great sportsman and a true Chelsea legend.
