Brazilian sensation Anderson Talisca reportedly scouted by Chelsea this weekend

Benfica's Anderson Talisca is said to have been scouted by Chelsea on Saturday.

Chelsea were one of a number of clubs to send scouts to watch Benfica striker Anderson Talisca according to reports.

Portuguese newspaper O Jogo claims the Blues had representatives present to watch the Primeira Liga champions take on Belenenses on Saturday, a match Jorge Jesus’s side won 3-0.

Talisca has made plenty of headlines this season after scoring eight goals in just 11 league appearances and nine in all competitions. At just 20, the Brazilian forward is hot property; so much so that clubs across Europe are said to be monitoring his progress.

Chelsea may have a number of striking options at this time but with Didier Drogba only a short-term fix the links to Talisca make plenty of sense, despite the presence of Diego Costa and Loic Remy.

The Blues have some of the most exciting young talent in the game on their books but Anderson could be among the brightest if he were to join them.

But any battle for the player’s signature is likely to be fierce and few are likely to take the risk until they have seen what he can do over a sustained period of time.
